Pork Roasting Tips

Even though it’s a really simple recipe, here are a few tips that will help you as you make it for the first time.

Leave The Pork Tied

When you open the pork from the packaging, don’t remove the ties from it. Bake it with the ties on it. This actually helps the roast keep the juices in.

Season Pork Liberally

This recipe only uses salt and pepper. And yes, that really is enough to make a really tasty roast! Make sure you add plenty of salt and pepper to all sides.

You can add different spices to it at this point. Add some garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika. Cumin is also a popular spice to add to pork.

Use A Food Thermometer

Bake pork roast in the oven at 350°F for 25 minutes per pound. Use an instant-read food thermometer to test the doneness. Pork is fully cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F and is given a 3-minute rest.
