This is a simple, easy buttercream frosting recipe that has a homemade taste. With some variations, it can turn to something colorful and delicious as topping to a cake or cupcakes.


  • 5 to 6 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar


Step 1

Use a large bowl and beat the butter until it is creamy. Add the vanilla and the sugar. Add the milk.

Step 2

Beat and mix well until you have the desired consistency.
