It is the dish everyone’s expecting on the holidays, but it’s so simple to make, you can easily serve it any day. Healthy and flavorful, this easy green bean casserole is worth making for family and friends.
Do make sure to use only the best stainless still cookware available.
- 1 cup grated Cheddar
- 1/3 stick butter
- Pinch House Seasoning, recipe included here
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 (2.8-ounce) can French-fried onion rings
- 2 cups sliced green beans
- 1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 3 cups chicken broth
- FOR HOUSE SEASONING:
- 1 cup salt
- 1/4 cup garlic powder
- 1/4 cup black pepper
Set the oven up to 350 degrees F.
In a large skillet, melt the butter. Then saute the mushrooms and onions.
Boil the beans on chicken broth for about 10 minutes. Drain.
Then add the mushroom soup, onion rings, green beans and the House Seasoning (to taste) to the onion mix. Stir the mixture.
Pour the mixture into a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish and bake for 20 minutes. Top the casserole with cheddar then bake for another 10 minutes or until the cheese has melter.
Top with chips or any desired topping.
FOR HOUSE SEASONING: Mix all the ingredients well. Place in airtight container. This batch will last for 6 months.
