Easy Italian Pork Chops Recipe

This delicious pork chops recipe uses just a few basic ingredients to make an amazing Italian style main course.

Boneless pork chops are very affordable and are very easy to cook on the stove top, especially with this recipe. The key is to sear both sides of the pork chops first, then reduce the heat and let them simmer for 15 minutes in the tomato sauce with the flavors of the onion, garlic and butter. The result will be one of the best pork chops you’ve ever had.

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2, 8oz cans of tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano

Step 1

Use a non-stick skillet and melt butter over medium high heat. Add onion and garlic and saute for about 3 minutes or until carmelized.

Step 2

Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper and sear both sides in the pan for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Step 3

Add tomato sauce and oregano over pork chops. Keep on high heat until sauce begins to bubble. Reduce heat to low, cover pan and let pork chops simmer for 12-15 minutes.
