Cooking Tips
Here are some tips and tricks that will help you make fluffy and delicious waffles, every single time!
Make Belgian Waffles
This recipe can make Belgian waffles too. Just pour the batter into a Belgian waffle maker. Then, get ready for a feast!
Use A Whisk
When you mix all the ingredients, use a whisk. This will help the texture be fluffy and perfect.

Add Vanilla Extract
If you want the waffles to have even more flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Almond extract or peppermint extract will also taste delicious.
Mix Ins
Another way to update this recipe is to mix in your favorite ingredients. Add some fresh berries or chocolate chips. No matter which ingredients you add to the batter, add them gently. Fold them into the batter so that you protect the fluffiness.
You can also replace the whole milk with buttermilk to make buttermilk waffles.

Use The Correct Waffle Iron
There are all sorts of waffle irons in the market – different sizes, different shapes, different capabilities, etc. Before making these waffles, familiarize yourself with your waffle iron. Most of them are pretty intuitive and will even be able to notify you once your waffle is done cooking.
Add Some Cocoa Powder
Looking for another kick of flavor? Forget the vanilla extract! Add two tablespoons of cocoa powder and you’ll get a delicious, velvety chocolate waffle.

Waffle Toppings
Here are some of my favorite ways to jazz up the waffles.
- Maple syrup
- Fresh chopped fruit
- Mint leaves
- Whipped cream
- Powdered sugar
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon
- Berries
- Melted Butter

Can You Put Homemade Waffles In The Toaster?
Yes, if you have leftover waffles, they will taste delicious the next day. Pop them in the toaster and enjoy crispy waffles!
Reheat In The Oven
Another way to feed your family breakfast quickly is to make a huge batch of waffles and store them in the refrigerator. Then, place them on a baking sheet and heat them at 300F for about 10 minutes.

Is Waffle and Pancake Batter The Same?
They both contain the same ingredients, but in different amounts. Pancakes have more baking powder because they need to rise in the skillet. Waffles contain more butter and egg so they crisp up in the waffle maker.

How To Make Gluten-Free Waffles
Use this recipe to make gluten-free waffles. Just replace the all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour. It will taste exactly the same. If you want to enhance the flavors just add a pinch of salt to the batter. Easy!
