Chia Pudding Tips

This really is a super-easy recipe, but I have some tips that will help you out. If you have a question about making it, please leave it in the comments.

Use A Red Apple

Red apples – like Red Delicious – will give the pudding a really sweet flavor. If you use a tart green apple, you might want to add more honey and cinnamon.

You don’t have to peel the apple, just dice it up and add it on top. You could even slice the apple and use the chia pudding as a dip!

Top With Your Favorite Granola

For a fun texture combination, sprinkle some granola on top. You can either make your own granola or buy some from the store. A cinnamon-flavored granola will taste the best with this pudding.

Make It Dairy Free

This recipe has whole milk as the main ingredient. If you are lactose intolerant I suggest using either oat milk, coconut milk, or almond milk. Always use the plain and unsweetened versions of the dairy-free milk so that it doesn’t add any funky taste combinations.

How To Make It Keto

As it is written, this is definitely not a keto recipe. It’s really easy to make it low-carb. All you have to do is use a sugar-free liquid sweetener and top it with chopped nuts instead of granola. Then use just a few pieces of apple instead of the entire thing. Use unsweetened almond milk instead of dairy milk.

That’s it! So easy!

How Long Chia Pudding Lasts

The chia pudding will stay fresh in your refrigerator for about a week. I like to make it in the evening and then eat it for breakfast the next morning. Keep it in an airtight container so that it lasts the longest.

  1. We’re huge fans of chia pudding at our house! Just this morning, my breakfast was warm chia pudding with chopped pear. No doubt, apples would be just as good. There’s really nothing better in the fall. xx
