Homemade Pancakes Tips
Here are some tips that will help you make homemade pancakes perfectly every single time.
Let The Batter Set
After you mix it all together, let it set for a few minutes. It will bubble a bit – this is good and it means your pancakes will rise.
Don’t Butter The Skillet
The key to cooking picture-perfect pancakes is a clean, well-heated skillet. Your non-stick skillet should be completed heated through (or else you risk the batter sticking) and without any type of grease/fat.
Use Your Favorite Toppings
The sky’s the limit when it comes to toppings for your pancakes. Feel free to tops yours with:
- Berry compote
- Maple syrup
- Table syrup
- Whipped cream
- Candied pecans
- Chopped nuts of your choice
- Chocolate syrup
- Strawberry syrup
Use Your Favorite Milk
If you’re lactose intolerant, make the pancakes with almond, oat, soy, or cashew milk. They will still be just as fluffy and tasty.
How To Store Homemade Pancakes
They taste best when you serve them fresh, but you can store them in the fridge and eat them later.
Store your cooked pancakes in an airtight container or food storage bag. Keep them in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat your pancakes in the microwave.
How To Freeze Pancakes
These are the perfect pancakes to freeze, too!
Let the pancakes cool to room temperature. Then, wrap each pancake in wax or parchment paper and plate them in a freezer-safe food storage bag. Keep them in the freezer for up to six months.
Reheat them in the microwave or a toaster.
Make it a meal with a batch of George Foreman Grill bacon and a mug of delicious homemade hot chocolate.
Enjoy!
